When sweeping heavy material, you often want the deflector up to push debris farther so you don’t build a pile in front of you. But if the wind shifts or you turn directions and debris starts blowing back toward the operator, you need the deflector down immediately to knock the dust to the ground. If you’re sweeping north–south with a north wind, you’ll adjust constantly. Switch to east–west and you’ll adjust again. With the manual system that means stopping over and over, but with this electric system it’s instant — and you stay seated and moving forward the whole time.

Fully reversible and cross-compatible

This kit is 100% bolt-on and fully reversible. If you ever decide to return the broom to stock, removing the upgrade leaves no sign it was ever installed. The mounting bracket was also engineered for cross-compatibility: if you already have a Push Industries electric deflector actuator from your 47" or 54" snow blower, you can purchase just the bracket and move the actuator to the broom. The actuator swaps with two nuts, making it fast to move between attachments.
