If you want your Yamaha 62T-case engine to respond instantly the moment you squeeze the throttle, the Push Industries 104.126 Lightweight Charging Flywheel delivers that transformation. It reduces rotating mass for faster acceleration and harder low-end punch, while retaining full OEM charging capability for recreation, freeride, surf riding, and racing.
This flywheel is engineered for performance and durability, not just weight reduction. It features a CNC-machined billet aluminum body paired with a hardened steel hub, which is critical for reliability. Fully aluminum flywheels may be lighter on paper, but their aluminum keyways are prone to distortion. A single backfire, slight hydrolock from water ingestion, or a heavy surf impact can oval the key slot and permanently alter ignition timing. Once the keyway becomes oblong, the flywheel is no longer usable. The Push Industries steel hub eliminates that failure mode entirely. It withstands high-stress events, maintains precise ignition timing, and handles aggressive riding conditions that destroy weaker flywheels. The result is a lightweight performance flywheel that stays accurate, stays tight on the crank, and delivers consistent timing run after run, season after season.
Every unit is dynamically balanced for smooth high-RPM operation and uses blind puller holes for safe, damage-free removal without risking stator damage. The magnet circuit is engineered to work cleanly with OEM and aftermarket ignitions.
Flywheel weight comparison:
